International Fisheries Observer and Monitoring Conference (IFOMC) in Reykjavík, Iceland
May 2025 in Harpa by the seaside in Reykjavík Iceland
What is IFOMC?
The IFOMC is the premier conference series for developing and promoting effective fishery monitoring programmes throughout the world, aiming to ensure sustainable marine resource management. Our last conference was held in March 2023 in beautiful Hobart, Tasmania. We very much look forward to welcoming in person the international scientific and fishery monitoring community to discuss and improve aspects of one of the most challenging and dangerous jobs in natural resource management. An extensive program is being crafted to cover the benefits of fishery monitoring programs and ways to enhance observer safety and security through training, policing and legislation, and ample opportunities for socializing and networking are included.
Join us!
Stay tuned for more information on registration, program details, and accommodations. We look forward to welcoming you to Reykjavík in 2025 for a conference that promises to be both informative and inspiring.
